Ilanit Gerblich Kalir is Vice President of External Affairs and Managing Director of the Department of International Operations at the Jewish Federation of Cleveland. In that capacity, Ilanit manages all the Federation’s programs in Israel and Russia. Prior to her position at the JFC, Ilanit was the Associate Executive Director for AVODAH: The Jewish Service Corps, in New York City, a premier Jewish service program for young adults. Other positions she has held include Acting Director of the non-profit organization New Israel Fund, and Director of International Relations at the World Union of Progressive Judaism. Ilanit has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Brandeis University and a master’s degree in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics. She has lived in Israel, is fluent in Hebrew, and spent time in Russia
and Ukraine
